the bunny suit

When I was sixteen, I met a very handsome singer/songwriter on Omegle.
When I was eighteen, I left everything and flew to England to see him.
This book is about coming out of things that we tend to hide behind. I myself have hidden behind different forms of writing, different names of writing, and not putting myself out there enough.
the bunny suit is about bringing ourselves out of our comfort zones and doing the things that make us happy. Because sometimes when you grow up in places where you feel so hidden, you feel you need to find a way to be seen by anybody.
My name is Kimberly Theodore and I’m the author of the book, the bunny suit. I hope you follow along.

Before England, before airports, before late-night video calls and impossible decisions, I was a high school student in suburban New York.
Most days were ordinary from the outside. I went to class, completed assignments, and counted down the hours until I could return home.
But like many teenagers, I spent much of my life in places that couldn't be seen from the hallway or the yearbook photos.
Home was not always the refuge I wished it could be, and books, music, online friendships, and daydreams offered a kind of escape from a world that often felt too small.
